SIG Sauer P320 Overview
The SIG Sauer P320 is a joint development of SAN Swiss Arms (Switzerland, formerly SIG Arms) and JP Sauer and Sohn (Germany). Both of these companies are part of the international arms concern SIGARMS, producing weapons under the brand name SIG Sauer.
The SIG P320 pistol was originally developed for a relatively promising 9 × 19 mm Parabellum. However, changes between 9 mm at .357 Sig or .40 S and W and vice versa are achieved using a gauge conversion kit.
The P320 is an upgraded version of the SIG Sauer P250.
In 2017, it was announced that a customized version of the SIG Sauer P320 had won the United States Army XM17 Weapon Competition System. It, therefore, gained approval for use by the United States military.
